Congratulations to the participants and speakers of this maiden course on the first Pediatric Total Nutrition Treatment that was just held this November 29th-30th, 2009 in Summit Ridge Tagaytay Philippines.
Spearheaded by Asian Hospital & Medical Center in cooperation with Philspen and the unrelenting support of Abbott Philippines, the course was graced by the presence of no less than Drs. Victor Doctor and Miguel Noche Jr.
The interactive course , unexpectedly overbooked, highlighted among other things the realization of what else to be done to help all practicing pediatricians on the tools to ease the detection and evaluation of patients at risk for malnutrition, as well as standardization of screening tools in out-patient and in-patient care, and the importance of multi-disciplinary approach to the problem.
Dr. Jean Guno diected the course, with noted gastroenterologists Drs. Fil Gatcheco , Karen Mondenedo and Dr Guno herself, Allergologist Madeleine Sumpaico ,Neonatologist Jojo Mantaring and Pediatric Clinical Nutritionist Drs. Mercedita Macalintal highlighting the various issues.
